Idea 1:
Two years ago I wrote a song and recorded it myself using an online software, the song was call ‘Kitchen Floor’, there is no existing music video for this song so, using two actors (male and female), they will re-enact a domestic violence case to match the tempo and lyrics of the song. This video will be quite dark and depressing like the song, and is inspired by Eminem ‘Love The Way You Lie’.
Idea 2:
One of my favourite songs right now is Ellie Goulding ‘Wish I Stayed. This song was released as an official single but didn’t have a music video to go with. I will make a music video that cleverly contradicts the lyrics. For example, there is a part in the song she says ‘why do I always draw triangles, instead of words this paper so deserves’, in this parts I will show someone scribbling different shapes all over a blank canvas
Idea 3:
I will make a music video that is a montage of a party I will attend in London, I will film the whole party and edit in the most interesting parts to go with the song ‘the song will be chosen after the video is fully edited and finished, because this way I could choose the perfect one (like in films where the soundtrack is chosen after the scene is shot).
Idea 4:
‘Underwater’ is a song by Allison Harvard that I heard on the TV show ‘Americas Next Top Model’, this song has a music video, but I don’t think it matches or works well with the song, so I will recreate it. When hearing this song I immediately got the image of a stop motion music video of clay being shaped and formed into the descriptions of the lyrics.
(Chosen Idea)
Idea 5:
My best friend is part of a band called ‘Live At Soul’ and they have an upcoming gig at a local festival, I will make a live footage themed music video for to match their song, I will use special effects and single camera technique in order to make their gig more interesting, a good example of inspiration is the new music video by Kanye West and Jay z ‘Niggas In Paris’, and another idea inspired by John Mayer’s ‘Why Georgia, is to do a split scene technique, and on one side show the gig, and on the other side to show a montage of the preparation the band went through before the gig.
